Events.
A small sampling of the many events I have attended as a panelist or featured guest, as well as cosplay gatherings I have hosted.
MAGICK! AX Afterparty 2026
Featured Cosplay Guest
I was selected to be a cosplay guest at the MAGICK! Anime Expo Afterparty, which was hosted by Prism Power Parties in partnership with Saga, a new social media app for artists.
San Diego Comic Con 2025
Featured Panel: “The Butterfly Effect in Comics Character Histories”
This was my second panel with the Tangential Giants Podcast, coordinated alongside JPG of InterMyth, and my very first time presenting at San Diego Comic Con!
Gallifrey One 2024
Featured Panel: “Everything Gold is New Again: The Music of Murray Gold”
My second year at Gallifrey One (the largest Doctor Who convention in the world) saw me joining Ramie Tateishi’s annual music panel once again, this time to discuss my favorite composer and his work on the iconic sci-fi show.
Touch Grass LA Anime Rave 2023
Featured Guest Cosplayer
I was approached by Touch Grass Entertainment to be a featured cosplayer at their Los Angeles Anime Rave, hosted by DJ Alex Kade. I also helped to coordinate sign-ups for the cosplay contest, and MC’d the contest itself alongside the other guests.
Anime Expo 2023
Featured Panel: “LGBTQ+ Themes in Sailor Moon”
Having previously presented this panel at Phoenix Fan Fusion 2022, I thought it would complement programming at the nation’s largest anime convention, and I was right! Our panel (held in an expanded room) was at approximately 90% capacity throughout. While I’ve since parted ways with Anime Expo, I’m still very proud of the work we contributed to their programming.
Los Angeles Comic Con 2022
Featured Panel: “LGBTQ+ Representation in Children’s Media”
After moving to Los Angeles in the summer of 2022, I wasted no time getting involved in the local con community. I submitted this panel to LA Comic Con and they assigned voice actor JP Karliak to work with me on it. The panel was a success, and I’ve done programming for LA Comic Con almost every year since!
World Downs Syndrome Day 2019
Volunteering Organization: Off the Page
This is one of many events I did with Off the Page, a volunteer cosplay group who attended charity events in the Phoenix metro area. Performers with Off the Page were expected to maintain character accuracy while also clearing a safety background check. While the group eventually disbanded after 2020, I hold my performance memories with them dear (and the friendships I made through the organization even more so)!
Phoenix Comicon 2015
Featured Cosplay Gathering: Once Upon a Time
This was the first cosplay gathering I ever organized, and we also hosted a connected panel! The panel (“Once Upon a Time: Break the Curse!”) was a game show featuring cosplayers as the show’s characters, in which the audience had to guess what item Rumpelstiltskin had taken from each of them for his next curse.
Phoenix Comicon 2014
Featured panel: “Villains Don’t Deserve Happy Endings”
If I look unenthusiastic here, I can guarantee you it was just nerves — this was my first ever panel, but I had a blast! The discussion at hand was centered on the ABC series Once Upon a Time.
